BAKU. March 3 (Interfax) - The reference to Hezbollah as a terrorist organization is a political move of several Arab nations, Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsen Pakaeen has said.
"Lebanese Hezbollah is a source of pride for all Muslims. The mention of Hezbollah as a terrorist organization made by a number of Arab states is a political step that makes the Zionist regime happy," Pakaeen said in Baku on Thursday.
Having noted that Hezbollah is "a stronghold of resistance against terrorism and the Zionist regime", Pakaeen emphasized that the organization's weakening serves the interests of terrorist groups.
"All Muslims in the world support Hezbollah and acknowledge its role in the protection of the honor and dignity of the Islamic world. Any weakening of this group serves the interests of the terrorist groups created and supported by certain Western and regional nations," he said.
