Over 4 tonnes of humanitarian aid delivered to Syria's Hama province over 24 hrs - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. March 3 (Interfax) - The Russian center for reconciliation of the conflicting parties in Syria continues to offer humanitarian aid to local residents.

"In the past 24 hours, more than four tonnes of the humanitarian aid were delivered to the populated areas of Marzaf and Akebra in the Hama province," the Center said in the information bulletin posted by the Russian Defense Ministry on its website on Thursday.

Local residents received food and bottled water, it said.

The Center representatives were in the phone with officials of 12 international humanitarian organizations that operate in Syria, it said.

"Specialists of the Center attended a working meeting with the officials of the reconciliation ministry of the Syrian Arab Republic to discuss common approaches to the issues of the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Syrian citizens who need it," according to the bulletin.
