Iran successfully test-fires another two ballistic missiles - TV

DUBAI. March 9 (Interfax) - Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) successfully test-fired two ballistic missiles on Wednesday, Press-TV, an Iranian English-language television channel, has said.

"The missiles were fired from East Alborz heights in northern Iran and could hit targets 1,400 kilometers away in Makran Coasts southeast of the country," Press-TV said.

The channel said the missiles were test-fired in line with the country's defense doctrine.

Another test-launch of missiles was reported on Tuesday. Those missiles were fired from silos in various parts of the country.

The Iranian press said that the launches were supposed to demonstrate Iran's ability to deter threats to its sovereignty.
