Some 160 servicemen from Yugra logistics and material support brigade return from Syria - Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. March 23 (Interfax-AVN) - Some 160 servicemen of the Yugra logistics and material support formation of the Central Military District have returned to their permanent location from the Hmeimim airbase in Syria, the Central Military District press service told Interfax-AVN on Wednesday.

"Military transport aircraft carrying the troops landed at Tolmachevo airport in Novosibirsk last night, and the servicemen were transported to Yugra in the Kemerovo region by motor vehicles," the press service said.

The servicemen from logistics and material support units fueled and lubricated aircraft, provided catering, bath and laundry services, provided maintenance to and repaired airfield infrastructures and transported cargo from the material and technical supply base of the Russian Navy in Tartus to the airbase, it said.

"More than 200 servicemen of the Yugra logistics and material support formation were involved in the operation," the press service said.
