Four civilians injured in strikes on Makiyivka

MAKIYIVKA. March 24 (Interfax) - Four civilians were injured when the Ukrainian Armed Forces opened fire on the town of Makiyivka in Donbas, a spokesman for the Defense Ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) told reporters.

"The latest data indicates that four residents were injured. The fourth injured person is a man," he said.

Eduard Basurin of the DPR Defense Ministry earlier put the number of those injured in Makiyivka at three - one man and two women.

It was reported earlier that last night, the Ukrainian army opened fire on two districts of Makiyivka in the DPR, damaging houses, a gas main and power lines.
