MOSCOW. April 6 (Interfax) - Russia's prospective National Guard may employ from 350,000 to 400,000 men, a source with knowledge of the situation told Interfax.
"The total strength of the new National Guard may vary from 350,000 to 400,000 men. The Interior Ministry Forces will employ about 200,000 men; there will be another 150,000-200,000 men in special and police units, in addition to Okhrana [Security Guard] federal state unitary enterprise," the source said.
This is the opinion of experts, and the government has yet to submit a proposal regarding the size of staff, he said.
