Search under way in Stavropol territory for suspected accomplice of police station attackers - source

STAVROPOL. April 12 (Interfax) - A man accused of helping the suicide bombers who attacked the police department in the village of Novoselitskoye, in Russia's southern Stavropol territory, on Monday has been put on the wanted list, a source in the region's security services told Interfax.

"It is presumably a man aged around 40 years old with a very short haircut. He could have driven the attackers to the police department. Obviously, he was aware of their plans. Most likely, he is also a resident of the Novoselitsky district," the source said.

A description of the suspected accomplice has been sent to all local police departments, he said.

Interfax has so far been unable to obtain official confirmation of the report.

On Monday morning, three suicide bombers attacked the police department in the village of Novoselitskoye. Two of them were killed, but the third managed to detonate his explosives. No police officers or civilians were killed or injured in the incident.
