Armenian side loses 92 men in Karabakh conflict outbreak

YEREVAN. April 14 (Interfax) - The Armenian side lost 92 men in the escalation of the Karabakh conflict, which started in the early hours of April 2, the Armenian Defense Ministry said.

"In the period of hostilities, on April 2-5, 64 servicemen and 13 volunteers and militiamen were killed along the contact line," the ministry press service reported.

The fatalities include 15 officers, 15 contract servicemen, 34 privates, eleven militiamen and two reserve servicemen, the report said.

One captain is missing.

The Armenian side also had 15 non-combatant losses, including nine servicemen, two militiamen and four civilians of Nagorno-Karabakh.
