MOSCOW. May 17 (Interfax) - Five micro-satellites were launched from the International Space Station (ISS) on Monday, a source from the rocket and space industry told Interfax on Tuesday.
According to the source, the micro-satellites were launched by use of the JEM RMS Japanese robotic arm and the U.S. NanoRacks launch platform.
"Five micro-satellites have been launched: MinXSS 1, CADRE, STMSat 1, Nodes 1 and Nodes 2. Another four will be launched today and four more tomorrow. Those would be Flock 2e satellites. Another 25 satellites will be stored onboard the station to wait for launch windows in the upcoming months," the source said.
