ASTANA. June 8 (Interfax) - Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has pledged the harshest crackdown on extremists and terrorists.
"Someone has decided to test the authorities' strength, taking advantage of the liberal state policy and laws. I declare that we will always take the harshest measures to suppress extremists and terrorists," Nazarbayev said.
"The government has every capacity and means to do so," the presidential press service quoted him as saying in a statement on Wednesday.
