ST PETERSBURG. June 17 (Interfax) - Russian permanent envoy to NATO Alexander Grushko preferred not to disclose any details of the consultations held to negotiate the date of the next Russia-NATO council meeting.
"The consultations have been underway, including on the issue of the date of the meeting," he told mass media representatives when answering questions asked by Russian journalists in Brussels on Thursday.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said at the NATO defense ministers meeting in Brussels on June 14-15 that the alliance wishes to hold another meeting of the Russia-NATO council ahead of the alliance's Warsaw summit scheduled for July. The meeting's agenda has yet to be agreed upon together with the Russian side, he added.
