BAKU. July 12 (Interfax) - Delineation between the positions held by terrorists and opposition forces in Syria will be a subject of negotiations with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry this week, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"We have been discussing this issue with the Americans for a long time, since January when they promised that all units cooperating with Washington would be withdrawn from the positions occupied by Jabhat al-Nusra (banned in Russia) and still did not do that," he said at a press conference after negotiations with Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov.
"This is one of the issues we would like to discuss with John Kerry, as this is an obligation of the United States," Lavrov said.
