LPR reports 17 strikes by Ukrainian army in past 24 hours

LUHANSK. July 14 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Armed Forces have shelled the territory of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic 17 times in the past 24 hours, a LPR defense agency source told Interfax on Thursday.

"Seventeen strikes conducted by the Ukrainian army against LPR positions were recorded from July 13 to July 14," he said.

The Ukrainian military shelled the populated localities of Lozove, Almazne, Holubivske, Zhelobok, Donetsky, Molodezhne, Maryivka, Kalynove, as well as the area near Stanitsa Luhanska and Slavyanoserbsk.

The strikes were conducted with the use of 82mm mortars, automatic and anti-tank grenade launchers, infantry fighting vehicle weapons and small arms.

No casualties were reported, the source said.
