YEREVAN. July 15 (Interfax) - The Armenian government has granted Unikum Engineering Company a permit to the activity in the area of electronics and precision engineering in the Alliance free economic area in Yerevan.
The company is planning to set up the production of night-vision devices, and thermal imaging devices for military ends and export the produce, Armenian Economy Minister Artsvik Minasyan said at a government meeting on Thursday.
"It is planned that by the second year of the program in 2017, the export volume will make up nearly $5 million, by the fifth year - nearly $12 million. In the first year of the program it is planned to produce and export up to 1,000 devices, their number will reach 5,500 in the future. The main direction for export is Russia," Minasyan said.
The company's amount of investments will reach $31 million within the framework of the five-year program.
