MOSCOW. July 29 (Interfax) - Presidential Representative to the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich was nominated for the Russian ambassador to Ukraine in the State Duma International Affairs Committee, a source from the committee told Interfax on Friday.
"Mikhail Babich's candidature was presented for consideration of our committee yesterday," he said.
The State Duma International Affairs Committee will gather at 3:30 p.m. on Friday to discuss approval of diplomatic representatives, including the candidate for the Russian ambassador to Ukraine, he said.
