Terrorists continue shelling Aleppo - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Aug 5 (Interfax) - Terrorists continue to shell the Syrian city of Aleppo, where a humanitarian operation is being conducted, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"Groups of the Jabhat al-Nusra and ISIL [Islamic State] terrorist organizations [outlawed in Russia] continue to obstruct the conclusive establishment of a cessation of hostilities regime. In the past 24 hours, terrorists fired improvised artillery weapons and mortars at the populated localities of Ansar and Kudehi, the Castello shopping center, the Al-Ramusi and Leramon neighborhoods, as well as the Al-Nayrab airport in the city of Aleppo," the Russian center for reconciliation of the opposing sides in Syria said in a report.

Terrorists also shelled the populated localities of Huteita Al-Jarash, Al-Bahariyah, Arbil and Hawsh Al-Farah in Damascus Province, Kabukh and Shillif in Latakia Province, Tarfawi in Hama Province, and Tair Maala in Homs Province, it said.
