MOSCOW. Aug 15 (Interfax) - A man suspected of cybercrime has been extradited from Sofia to Moscow, the Russian Interior Ministry press service said on Friday.
"On August 12, 2016, 31-year-old Alexander Abroskin, who is suspected of committing a crime as specified in Article 272 Part 3 of the Criminal Code of Russia (Illegal Access to Computer Information), has been extradited from Sofia to Moscow," it said.
According to police, Abroskin, acting as a member of a group, illegally accessed information stored in e-mail boxes of third parties. Therefore, he was put on the international wanted list through Interpol, the Russian Interior Ministry said.
In support of the extradition request filed by the Russian Prosecutor General's Office, the Bulgarian competent agencies handed the suspect over to the Russian side for extradition to Russia, the ministry said.
