Attempts to start intra-Syrian dialogue being sabotaged - Lavrov (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Oct 21 (Interfax) - Russia's partners are intentionally sabotaging the UN Security Council's decision on starting the intra-Syrian negotiations as soon as possible, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"Our partners are rejecting such an approach in Syria altogether, intentionally blocking, hampering and sabotaging the [UN] Security Council's decision on launching the intra-Syrian dialogue with the participation of the government and absolutely all of the opposition groups immediately and without any preliminary conditions," he said at a press conference.

The UN Security Council resolution needs to be implemented, "and we will insist on it," Lavrov said.
