Moscow denies responsibility for airstrike upon school in Idlib

MOSCOW. Oct 27 (Interfax) - The Russian Foreign Ministry has flatly denied Moscow's or Damascus's responsibility for an airstrike upon a school in the Idlib governorate in Syria and called for immediately investigating the tragedy.

"The Russian Federation, the Russian Aerospace Forces, and the Syrian armed forces were immediately accused of this tragedy. It was said directly that this bombardment had been carried out by Russia and Syria. This is a lie. Russia has no relation whatsoever to this horrible attack," Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a news briefing on Thursday.

"We demand that as much attention as possible be drawn to this tragedy and that it be immediately investigated," Zakharova said.
