MOSCOW. Oct 27 (Interfax-AVN) - A unit of Baltic Fleet ships comprising the frigate Yaroslav Mudry and the tanker Lena has arrived in the Caribbean Sea, fleet spokesman Capt. 1st Rank Roman Martov told Interfax-AVN on Wednesday.
"Crews of the frigate Yaroslav Mudry and the tanker Lena have come to the Cuban port of Havana for a business visit. [...]. The Baltic Fleet sailors will replenish food and water reserves, will examine their ships and will take some rest after the trans-Atlantic travel," Martov said.
The frigate departed from the Mediterranean, where it was attached to the Navy task force, in the middle of October, he said. "The ship spent several weeks in the Indian Ocean on an anti-pirate mission. After that it crossed the Mediterranean Sea and entered the Atlantic Ocean," Martov said.
