MOSCOW. Oct 31 (Interfax) - Police are checking a freight car where explosives are believed to have been found in southeastern Moscow on Monday, the Moscow railroad press service said.
"Police are examining a freight car for suspicious objects at a car pool of Perovo-1 station. The track where the freight car is standing is far from the main track. There is no risk to safe traffic," a press service representative told Interfax on Monday.
Passenger stations and platforms of the Kursk and Gorky lines are operating normally, and "commuter and passenger traffic is on schedule," he said.
"Reports alleging evacuation of the Chukhlinka station are untrue," he said.
A police source told Interfax earlier in the day that explosive devices had been found on a train car at the Chukhlinka station in Moscow.
He said mines and detonators had been found in a parked car, and that the area had been cordoned off.
