BAKU. Dec 8 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has discussed the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement process with German Foreign Minister and Chairman-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
A meeting of Mammadyarov and Steinmeier took place on the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Hamburg, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry press service said.
"Mammadyarov informed his counterpart about the process of negotiations on the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict," the ministry said.
Discussion of issues regarding confidence-building measures and agreements on expansion of the office of the permanent mission of the OSCE chairperson-in-office should be synchronized with the substantive process of negotiations and be an integral part of it, Mammadyarov said at the meeting.
At the meeting, the sides also discussed issues of expansion of Azerbaijani-German cooperation, including in trade and the economy.
