Measures to establish ceasefire regime in entire Syria to be discussed specifically during intra-Syrian meeting in Astana in January - Gatilov

MOSCOW. Dec 23 (Interfax) - The intra-Syrian meeting scheduled to be held in mid-January will focus on issues relating to the establishment of a ceasefire regime on the entire territory of Syria.

"I think all these issues will be specifically addressed in the upcoming meeting in Astana. It clearly follows from the joint statement that Iran, Russia and Turkey are ready to promote the development and provide guarantees of the future agreement between the Syrian government and opposition," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said in an interview with Interfax, responding to a question as to over what kind of period of time and how the agreement discussed in the meeting between the foreign ministers of Russia, Iran and Turkey held in Moscow this week can be implemented.
