Doomed Tu-154 plane carried 64 members of Alexandrov song and dang ensemble, 9 journalists - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Dec 26 (Interfax) - The list of 92 passengers who were aboard the Tupolev Tu-154 plane which crashed into the Black Sea was published on the Defense Ministry website on Sunday.

Among those who were aboard the plane, according to the lists, were the artistic director of the Alexandrov Ensemble Valery Khalilov and the Defense Ministry's head of the culture department Anton Gubankov.

The plane carried 64 members of the Alexandrov ensemble and nine journalists, according to the defense ministry's website. Civil activist "Doctor Liza" Yelizaveta Glinka, head of the Fair Aid foundation, was also aboard the Tu-154, according to the website.

The list also includes eight crew members, eight military servicemen and two federal civilian officials.

It emerged earlier on Sunday that a Russian Defense Ministry aircraft, a Tu-154, had crashed in the Black Sea. According to the ministry, the military personnel and members of the Alexandrov Ensemble had been en route to congratulate the Russian Aerospace Force group in Syria on the New Year.
