Three fleets of Russian Navy supplied with Bastion coastal missile systems in 2016 - NPO Mashinostroyeniya

MOSCOW. Dec 30 (Interfax-AVN) - The Pacific, Baltic and Northern Fleets of the Russian Navy were supplied with Bastion missile systems made by Reutov-based NPO Mashinostroyeniya in 2016, NPO Mashinostroyeniya CEO Alexander Leonov said in his greetings to the holding staff.

"Together with the entire country, we have had to deal with difficult challenges and to defend and protect the national interests, sovereignty and independent course of Russia in the outgoing year. Bastion systems were supplied to the Pacific, Baltic and Northern Fleets," the greetings said.

The Bastion coastal missile systems, which can also hit ground targets, have been deployed in the Kaliningrad special defense area and on the Kuril Islands.
