NEW YORK (UN). Dec 30 (Interfax) - Russia has submitted to the UN Security Council a draft resolution on agreements on a ceasefire in Syria, Russian envoy to the Un Vitaly Churkin said.
"We have prepared a brief draft resolution for the approval of these documents. We released that draft document last night," he told reporters on Friday before the Security Council meeting, where the draft document was formally presented to the Council members.
"We are hoping that we can submit it for voting tomorrow and adopt it unanimously," Churkin said.
Documents on a ceasefire in Syria and on the intention of the Syrian government and opposition to begin peace talks were signed previously.
