MOSCOW. Jan 11 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov has received a group of Syrian opposition members, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on its website.
"During the conversation, the sides exchanged opinions on the issues of the emerging military and political situation in Syria with an emphasis on the task of a prompt cessation of bloodshed in the country and intensification of efforts in advancing the political settlement of the Syrian crisis," the ministry said.
The ministry also said that former Syrian Armed Forces generals Mustafa al-Sheikh and Khaled Halabi headed the group of Syrian opposition members.
