Ukrainian deputy prosecutor general expects verdict in Yanukovych case to be issued by end of March

KYIV. Jan 13 (Interfax) - Criminal charges of high treason in the case of former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych will be forwarded to the court by the end of January and a verdict is expected to be handed down to the ex-president within a two-month period, Ukrainian Deputy Prosecutor General and Chief Military Prosecutor Anatoliy Matios said, according to the Channel 5 television station.

"We expect the criminal indictment to be received by the court before the end of January, and, given the number of witnesses, materials and evidence that we will present, I think that we will have the primary court's verdict within two months," Matios said.
