MOSCOW. Jan 13 (Interfax) - The Astana negotiations will involve exclusively military officers of the Syrian government and the opposition; there will be no politicians there, former Syrian army general Mustafa al-Sheikh, leader of a Syrian opposition delegation currently visiting Moscow, said.
"There will be no politicians at the conference in Astana; military representatives of Damascus and the opposition will be there," he said.
"As to the opposition, every unit has its own demands. I believe that any conference should promote the reconciliation of viewpoints and should build mutual understanding between Syrians," he said.
