MOSCOW. Jan 13 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia and Turkey have recorded 15 ceasefire violations in Syria over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"The Russian delegation to the mission of the Russian-Turkish joint commission dealing with violations of the ceasefire agreement has recorded three violations over the past 24 hours, including two in the governorate of Hama and one in Idlib. The Turkish delegation to the mission has recorded 12 violations, including eight in the governorate of Damascus, two in Aleppo, one in Homs and one in Daraa," the Russian center for the reconciliation of the opposing sides in Syria said in a bulletin on Friday.
"An inquiry into these facts of violations determined that, in four of these instances, fire was opened upon units of the Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization [banned in Russia], and eight violations were not confirmed by the Russian side," it said.
Another 14 communities in the Hama governorate joined the cessation agreements over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of such communities to 1,115, the document says.
Ten humanitarian operations have also been conducted in Syria over the past 24 hours, during which 4.2 tonnes of humanitarian aid was provided to local residents in the city of Aleppo and 4.3 tonnes in the village of al-Haraki in the Homs governorate.
Children also received 1,050 bags with gifts in a school in the Sheikh Saeed neighborhood in Aleppo, in the Syrian center for children's rights in Jarmana, the Damascus governorate, and in the elementary school named after Martyr Jafar Omran, the city of Damascus, it said.
