MOSCOW. Jan 16 (Interfax-AVN) - The influx of immigrants in Europe is a result of the U.S. ill-considered policy that leads to conflicts and wars in different parts of the planet, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev said.
"The growing number of immigrants and refugees coming into Europe is another result of the ill-considered policy of the U.S. and its allies. The policy is aimed to change 'uncomfortable' regimes and destabilize the state system, as well as to start conflicts and wars. As a result, streams of migrants began to flow to Europe from Syria, Iraq, Libya and other countries of North Africa and the Middle East," Patrushev said in an interview to be published in the Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper on Monday.
In Patrushev's view, "it was hard to expect anything other than that whereas these regions have virtually become a permanent hotbed of instability and a stronghold for terrorist groups".
