MOSCOW. Jan 16 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Kazakh Foreign Minister Kairat Abdrakhmanov had a phone conversation to discuss preparations for Syrian settlement in Astana.
The phone conversation was on Russia's initiative.
"During the conversation, the ministers discussed issues relating to the bilateral agenda, the schedule of upcoming contacts, and also coordination of actions on the international scene, including preparations for the international meeting on Syrian settlement in Astana," the Russian Foreign Ministry said on its website on Monday.
