MOSCOW. Jan 20 (Interfax) - The Federation Council will promptly consider the issue of ratifying the Russian-Syrian agreement to deploy a Russian Navy base in Tartus, chairman of the upper house's committee for international affairs, Konstantin Kosachyov, told Interfax.
"We are definitely not going to drag it out. We will [consider it] as soon as [the document arrives at the Federation Council]," Kosachyov said.
