MOSCOW. Jan 20 (Interfax) - The Syrian-Russian agreement on the Russian Navy's base in Tartus will be valid for 49 years.
Thereafter the agreement may be prolonged, according to the document posted on the official legal information portal. "This agreement is valid for 49 years," the document says.
It may be prolonged for 25 years upon mutual agreement, it said.
The parties signed the agreement in Damascus on January 18, 2017, according to the document.
