ASTANA. Jan 23 (Interfax) - A decision on the possible extension of intra-Syrian talks in Astana will be made precisely by the negotiating parties if necessary, Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister Roman Vasilenko said.
"For now, our task is to host these negotiations. We will be ready to provide a platform for further negotiations if necessary. [...] It is not up to us to decide [on their possible extension after January 24]. We just confirm our readiness to continue to render maximal assistance to their success," he told a press conference in Astana on Monday.
