ASTANA. Jan 23 (Interfax - A format of direct negotiations between the delegations of Damascus and the Syrian opposition is still being discussed, Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister Roman Vasilenko said.
"It is still being developed," Vasilenko said, answering a question as to whether the format of direct negotiations between the Syrian governmental delegation and the opposition had been developed.
"This issue [the format of intra-Syrian negotiations] - who will be seated, how, at what table and opposite whom - is now being pondered. That will be clear at the moment the negotiations start at 1 p.m.," he told a press conference earlier.
