Russia's proposals on Syrian Constitution will be taken into account - opposition activist

MOSCOW. Jan 30 (Interfax) - The Russian draft of the Syrian Constitution will not be the final one which will be put up for a referendum, but its provisions will be taken into account, Qadri Jamil, a representative of the Moscow Group of the Syrian opposition, said.

"The Russian draft of the Syrian Constitution requires a collective, calm debate. But I can now say as follows: it's not the Constitution that will be out up for nationwide debate and referendum," he said.

"We are thankful to the Russian side for the draft. The Russian draft is something that we can use," Jamil said.
