MOSCOW. Feb 3 (Interfax) - Russia recorded three and Turkey seven instances of the regime of calm being violated in Syria in the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"The Russian part of the representative office of the joint Russian-Turkish commission on violations of the Unified Agreement recorded three violations [of the ceasefire regime], all in the Latakia province, in the past 24 hours," the Russian center for reconciliation of warring sides in Syria said in a bulletin on the Russian Defense Ministry website.
The Turkish side recorded seven instances of ceasefire violation: five in the Damascus province and two in the Hama province, it said.
The Russian side has confirmed only one of the cases recorded by Turkey.
Throughout the day seven ceasefire agreements were signed with representatives of the populated localities of Haush Nasri, Haush Dwara, Tala al-Suwa, Haush al-Farah, Maidaani and Khafir Tahta (Damascus province) and al-Qasibi (Latakia province), the Center said.
"The total number of inhabited areas the leaders of which had signed reconciliation agreements has reached 1177," the Center said.
"Within the last 24 hours, Syrian troops have liberated 20.5 square kilometers," it said.
In all, 933.6 square kilometers have been freed since January 1, 2017, the Russian reconciliation center said.
