MOSCOW. Feb 3 (Interfax) - The self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics have asked Ambassador Martin Sajdik, Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office to the Trilateral Contact Group on the implementation of the peace plan in eastern Ukraine, for assistance in a military stabilization in Donbas, self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) negotiator Denis Pushilin told Interfax.
"We have sent a letter to Sajdik, asking him to respond to the ongoing escalation of tensions, to take every possible measure and to promote the soonest de-escalation of tensions and a ceasefire," he said.
He also said they had discussed the situation with OSCE observers.
"We have reported the ongoing events to the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission, have conferred on the subject, and have asked them to help achieve stabilization," Pushilin said.
