MOSCOW. Feb 9 (Interfax) - The law enforcement agencies of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) have tracked down the perpetrators of the killing of Mikhail Tolstykh (Givi), commander of the Somali battalion, a source in the DPR defense and security agencies told Interfax on Thursday.
"The masterminds of the killing have been determined, they are in Kyiv. The perpetrators, Ukrainian saboteurs, have also been tracked down. We know who these people are, we know about their travel," he said.
The source did not rule out that the perpetrators of the terrorist attack may be destroyed if they put up resistance during detention or in a situation of open combat.
Tolstykh was killed in his office on Wednesday morning. A Shmel reactive flamethrower was used to kill him. The DPR State Security Ministry has accused the Ukrainian special services of organizing the Tolstykh killing.
