MOSCOW. Feb 15 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is set to meet with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg on the Munich Security Conference's sidelines, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said, adding that a ministerial conference in the Normandy format was also possible.
"Meetings between Sergei Lavrov and the NATO secretary-general have been scheduled for February 17 on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, and a meeting with the Iranian foreign minister is under consideration," Zakharova told a press briefing on Wednesday.
The Russian foreign minister will continue bilateral contacts in Munich on February 18.
He will also meet with Russian and German businessmen, the Croatian president and foreign minister, and the foreign ministers of South Korea, Turkey, Slovakia and France, Zakharova said.
"A 'Normandy format' meeting is planned for February 18. The possibility of this meeting is being considered. We will be able to confirm its precise time later," Zakharova said.
Lavrov is due to meet with the Israeli defense minister and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini on February 18, she said, adding that the possibility of a meeting with the IAEA secretary-general and some other contacts is being eyed.
The aforesaid contacts are still under consideration, and Lavrov's schedule may be adjusted, Zakharova said.
