Lavrov hopes Russia's "Normandy format" partners, U.S. will coax Kyiv into implementing Minsk Agreements

MOSCOW. Feb 15 (Interfax) - Russia hopes that the West will use due influence on the Ukrainian authorities for the purpose of implementation of the Minsk Agreements, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"We hope our 'Normandy-format' partners, as well as the U.S. [United States] will foil the attempts not to implement 'Minsk' by Kyiv, whose actions have been making the internal Ukrainian conflict worse," Lavrov said at the Diplomatic Academy on Wednesday.

The only way to resolve the Ukrainian crisis is through full and strict implementation of the Minsk Package of Measures, he said.
