BANGALORE, India. Feb 15 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia and India are planning to sign a number of major contracts in 2017, Rosoboronexport's Deputy General Director Sergei Goreslavsky told journalists on Wednesday.
"Overall, I would like to say that last year we increased Rosoboronexport's order book in comparison with 2015. We have every reason to believe that this year we will increase this figure, which last year stood at $4.6 billion, thanks to the signing of a whole host of important and high-volume contracts," Goreslavsky said.
For his part, Vladimir Drozhzhov, deputy director of the federal agency for military-technical cooperation, said intensive preparations are underway for the supply of S-400 missile systems to India.
"I hope it will be signed this year," Drozhzhov said.
