Russia ready to supply radar for HAL Tejas fighter - Rosoboronexport

BANGALORE. Feb 16 (Interfax) - Russia is ready to supply a radar system for the Tejas light fighter of India's Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) Corporation, Rosoboronexport Deputy General Director Sergei Goreslavsky said.

"True, HAL Corporation has asked us for the delivery of a radar system with an active phased antenna array for the HAL Tejas light fighter. Rosoboronexport is preparing offers for the Indian partners," Goreslavsky told the press at the Aero India 2017 show.

HAL is the leading state-run aircraft corporation in India, which builds planes, helicopters, engines and spare parts.

The HAL Tejas is a light multirole fighter of the fourth generation, which is still being tested. Mass production has yet to begin.
