ASTANA. Feb 16 (Interfax) - The head of the Syrian armed opposition delegation and leader of the Jaysh al-Islam group, Mohammed Allouche, has spoken favorably of Russia's role in the cause of establishing truce in Syria at a plenary negotiating session in Astana, an informed source told Interfax.
"In his speech the head of the Syrian armed opposition delegation, Mohammed Allouche, noted Russia's constructive approach since the signing of the agreement on the cessation of hostilities," the source said.
Allouche thanked Turkey, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and the people of Kazakhstan and President Nursultan Nazarbayev "for the hospitality and creating all conditions for the negotiations," the source said.
