ASTANA. Feb 16 (Interfax) - The Russian Foreign Ministry has said the talks on Syria in Astana have been a success.
"We can talk about success, about an important event, which still continue, because the talks have been going on for two days, consisting of large, detailed bilateral and trilateral consultations which are now concluding in the course of the plenary session. We believe that one more important step has been made," Alexander Vershinin, Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Department on the Middle East and deputy head of the Russian delegation at the talks, said in Astana on Thursday.
