Astana negotiators agree on several measures to de-escalate Syrian conflict - Russian General Staff

MOSCOW. Feb 16 (Interfax) - A number of specific measures to de-escalate the Syrian conflict have been agreed upon at the talks in Astana, deputy head of the Main Operative Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces General Staff Stanislav Gadzhimagomedov said.

"In the shared view of all participants in the talks, the number of [truce] violations is going down, albeit very slowly. During the talks, we agreed on a number of concrete measures aimed at de-escalating tensions and strengthening the cessation of hostilities," the general said.
