KYIV. Feb 16 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko says he has instructed the government to review and reduce the list of commodities that can be transported across the line of contact with the armed militia in the eastern part of the country.
"We agreed once again at yesterday's conference at my office, in which the Ukrainian prime minister took part, to review and limit the list of goods that can be transported across the line of contact," Poroshenko said at a ceremony honoring veterans of wars outside Ukraine in Kyiv on Thursday.
Law enforcement and security agencies have been ordered to step up efforts to prevent smuggling, he said.
