Putin reports decline in terrorism-related crimes

MOSCOW. Feb 16 (Interfax) - The number of terrorism-related crimes in Russia declined in 2016, President Vladimir Putin announced.

"The number of terrorism-related crimes again declined, i.e. the application of the tactics of advance, preventive measures is also producing results," he said at a Federal Security Service collegium meeting on Thursday.

"Russian special services succeeded in delivering several serious, tangible blows to militants and their henchmen," he said.
