Turkey should close border with Syria, withdraw its troops from Syria - Damascus delegation head

ASTANA. Feb 16 (Interfax) - Damascus is calling on Turkey to withdraw its troops from Syria and close down the Turkish-Syrian border for the flow of terrorists, Syrian delegation head at the Astana talks Bashar Jaafari said.

"Turkey should withdraw its troops from the territory of Syria," Jaafari said at a press conference on Thursday.

"Turkey bears responsibility for breaching Syria's sovereignty," he said.

"The Turkish authorities should close down the border for the flow of female terrorists to Syria," Jaafari also said.

He recalled that the Turkish government had been responsible for the protection of 910 kilometers of border (the common border with Syria).
